From March 27-29, HERA International Association members and Coordinators convened our Annual General Assembly (AGM) and Planning Meeting in Berlin. Throughout the year, HERA meetings are held monthly online. The hybrid, inperson and online Planning Meeting and AGM provided a chance for the HERA teams to come together to review the progress of ongoing work across the four countries of operation and to plan the new Competition.

The members addressed the current political, security, and economic context for HERA’s work in Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine and the impact of our work in the four countries. Despite increasing conflict, the Association members and Coordinators reaffirmed our commitment to support women micro-entrepreneurs who serve as role models and employ young women at risk of dangerous migration. Should our grantees be forced to migrate and/or become refugees or displaced, the members also agreed to support the women with equipment to re-establish their businesses and employment.
